Feminised cannabis seeds with low/medium THC levels (5-10%)
A THC level of 5-10% will be slightly milder than that of the average strain. For some users, this THC content is ideal as it allows the consumer to function normally despite consuming marijuana. Medical marijuana users often prefer lower THC values due to their need to consume high doses. With low THC levels below 5%, these strains can be used by people who don't want to or can't get high. Conversely, low-THC, high-CBD varieties such as CBD Charlotte's Angel have less than 1% THC. This means that they do not have a psychoactive effect due to the low THC percentage.
Maximising THC Levels in feminised Photoperiod Cannabis Strains
Applying led lighting
It is highly desirable to use high-quality LED lights when growing a crop, so as to - amongst other things - increase the plants’ THC levels as well as improve their terpene profile. LED lamps use an optimised mix of wavelengths to ensure optimal growth and production of cannabinoids.
HPS lamps are not advised, as they emit the much less useful orange-yellow wavelengths of light, in addition to their inherently high levels of plant stress-inducing infrared heat. Cannabis clones, which typically produce around 17% THC levels using HPS lamps, can produce as much as 20-25% THC under the infinitely preferable LED lighting. That is why the use of LED, not HPS lighting is the most effective and durable method to ramp up growing potential.
Use extra UVA / UVB light during the flowering phase
Bringing specialised UVA / UVB fluorescent lamps into the grow room/area is a great way to take THC levels to the limit. UVA and UVB lamps mimic the properties of sunlight. Hemp and other plants need these light waves for proper growth, so it is worth investing in additional lighting.
It is crucial to prevent the yo-yo effect resulting from malnutrition or overfeeding; the use of slow-release organic nutrients is ideal. Overfeeding cannabis plants results in the inhibition of their growth, damage to their roots and a reduction in yield and final overall quality. One of the outward signs of overfeeding is dry, brown scorched leaf tips. This is a sure sign that the plant is struggling from having received excess food. Similarly, under-feeding of the plants also reduces the yield and quality, so taking care and following good advice will ensure the optimal results.

The best cannabis seed suppliers take their work extremely seriously, and so buying from unheard of amateur suppliers who buy and sell seeds in bulk, without having a clue of the quality of product they are selling, is a potential recipe for failure and disappointment.
Even the best growers in the world, with all the right equipment, the best soil and expensive nutrients won't be able to produce high-THC buds from poor quality seeds. Therefore, taking a bit of time to do some thorough market research before choosing a supplier will pay dividends in the final results.
Auto flowering seeds are just as good as feminised photoperiod seeds, providing the same high levels of THC. In the past, many growers have preferred feminised cannabis seeds to auto flower seeds, believing that the former produce higher levels of THC. This is a very false stereotype. If anything, the THC levels in the best auto flowering strains can sometimes be slightly higher than their photoperiod sister strain. The best auto flowering varieties are exactly at the same level of quality as the top quality feminised varieties.
